Sanderson Calls

I'm Jerry Sanderson, I live in Perry County Pennsylvania. I have been producing calls for over 30 years. My calls are used by turkey hunters all over the United States, with great success. My calls are also featured in Earl Mickel's book Turkey Call Makers Past and Present. These are friction calls made from a carbon graphite base. Each call comes with a hickory striker with an oak top. All calls are matched with a striker that gives the best sound possible. Special made custom (create your own) personal turkey calls can be ordered. I make a custom glass over slate, or glass over glass with your name or hunting buddie's name under the glass. You have your choice of 12 different turkey pictures to choose from. Send all order requests to sanderson1@embarqmail.com

John Stewart

This is a great friend, John Stewart, who with his wife Judy operate the Riverside Motel and Cabins along the Jacks Fork River in Eminence Mo. I have been hunting and staying at John's cabins along the river for 30 years. This guy is like a brother. John has 350 acres we hunt on ,and he just retired from teaching . When we get there he gives me his keys to his 4x4 ATV . John also goes hunting with us. If you ever get to Shannon Co. Mo. in a small town called Eminence, look him up. He will put you up with a nice place to stay, and if you like to do scenic canoe trips he will tell you the best places to go. In this picture John is making wild turkey shake & bake Mo. style. I can smell it now!!

BINGS MISSOURI TRIPLE BEARD

This piece of work is my brother. He is known by everyone as "BING." He took his 100th turkey in Missouri. Here he is with an old gobbler he got using his favorite call The double slate.
Needless to say he won the big beard contest.

Longbeards that came to the CALL

This gobbler was put to roost the night before. He came off the tree early . Using a glass and only a few early morrning cuts, he became my 130th wild turkey.

My dad " Amos Sanderson" with a lifetime of Turkey Beards

This is a picture of my dad Amos. He is no longer with us, but taught me what turkey hunting was all about. He hunted turkeys when there were not many in central PA. He was a great dad and a great turkey hunter.

The evening before Scott had two long beards walk within 10 feet of him. The next morning we set up on the birds using a double slate, and this was the result...

SANDERSON DOUBLE SLATE & GLASS

The double slate has taken many old gobblers. My father Amos Sanderson, brother Bing, hunting friends Neal Smith and Red Smith of Perry Co., PA never go to the woods without their double slate. Some hunting pictures show old gobblers taken with the double slate on this page.

The Double Glass is a more chrispy call. It comes with a hickory striker , and has a raspy sound. Many longbeard has come to this call, and NEVER RETURNED , It can be run on front or back . The back of all my calls make super sounding cuts. It comes with a # 50 grit course emery . KEEP THIS CALL SANDED WELL
